Webinar/Teleconference Accreditation: In order for a webinar or teleconference program to be approved for continuing education, there MUST be a method to verify attendance at the beginning, end, and periodically throughout the course. Attendance must be verified by a monitor who will complete the Monitor Affidavit to support the attendance methods.
Attendance methods can be one or a combination of the following:
- Software (whereas the leaner will be logged out if the do not provide a keystroke, mouse-click, etc.) Manual or audible roll callPeriodic surveys and pollingPeriodic Q&A
- Onsite (physical) Monitor
CEU Institute MUST receive confirmation of attendance tracking from a methods indicated above in order to verify eligibility for continuing education credit. A Monitor Affidavit is REQUIRED for all remote attendees requesting continuing education. This can be a disinterested 3rd party, colleague, speaker, or supervisor who witnessed (physically or remotely) the attendance of each individual. The monitor must complete the Affidavit and submit to CEU Institute in addition to any supporting documents from the attendance methods above such as:
- Report from the webinar provider indicating attendance for the entire program Report from surveys/ polling indicating responses from attendees
- Report from the Q&A session(s)
For remote groups of attendees, an Affidavit is needed from a monitor in each group. |
